His numerous awards include the National Literature Prize of Chile and the Pablo Neruda Prize. He lives in Santiago, Chile, where he is a professor of literature at Universidad Diego Portales.

Interesting book that was a class requirement. Book holds up well, too.
Very interesting poetry with latino focus. It is also written bilingually.
The poet/author is from Chile so the poems have that cultural focus.
